WIP Wednesday

Aloha!

Awww, y'all made me ^.^ blush with your comments from the two, FO Friday posts. Mahalo nui loa. I take great pride in my cooking skills and love to entertain when our place is clean. Oh boy speaking of food, I should show you what I made yesterday!

Are you ready?

Doesn't this look good? Hell yeah! These recipes are the following: 1. Eat Nourishing's Bacon & Spinach Oven Omelette and 2. Marin Mama Cook's Roasted Fingerling Potatoes with Salt, Rosemary, and Thyme. The husband <3ed it all! And I need to confess, I did forget to put in the milk in the omelette - O.O oopsies!

On the note of forgetting...would you believe I forgot last year that on December 27th was my two year blogiversary?! I can't believe I forgot about that - (smacks foreheaddoh!

Yup, Barbie is hot here in the States. The Princesses have all the DVDs and they got into the dolls and accessories after our last visit to Novato. I had 10 Barbies growing up and tons of clothes and shoes, even that dream house. Unfortunately, they're all gone. I find the storylines of the DVDs to be empowering for young girls today. Barbie is always a strong female who makes brave decisions and who thinks for herself.

Okie...onto...

At knitting group Monday, I picked up Through the Woods Cocoon out of hibernation and went to work on the first placket. When I came to the button hole row, I thought I had my original modification figured out, but I got confused and finally realized it wasn't going to work. After three tries at diagramming it out, I came to a solution I was comfortable with.

Yesterday, I finished up the right side placket and moved onto the leftside one. After 20 minutes in Eucalan, this snood is now blocking:

Isn't it beautiful?

And you know I love to take them eye-level shots:

If you're wondering what's under the hood, I placed a 5 qrt mixing bowl there so the hood part will block right.

After this is dry, the pretty, wooden buttons need to be sewn on.
Next would be its photo shoot. Hey Shar, ya down to stroll about Golden Gate Park?

  1. I wish I had things to block...but it's still early. And I wish I had a better place to take FO photos. Well, I do have places but I need either a photographer or a model. ::sigh:: Little Man just doesn't cut it with my socks.

  9. Hi Kepanie (love your name btw)! I'm so glad you loved the fingerling potatoes. They are better than fries, don't you think? I even made a bigger batch for the Holidays and threw them on a pre-heated rimmed baking sheet and they got super crispy! Thanks for the shout out and for stopping by the blog and letting me know how they turned out for you! xoxo, Jackie

  17. Your dinner looks delish! I have not used those little fingerlings yet--they are becoming more easily found in our stores up here more recently but I tend to use Yukon Golds for my roasted potatoes---yummy and buttery little bites! What a lovely snood and well done for dragging it out of hibernation and figuring out a workable pattern.
    Happy weekend~~~
