Hello dear readers. It's a cold and wet one today:
Did you have a three day weekend?
Mine had started off wonderfully. On Friday, I had a coffee date with ballet mums. I haven't seen them since last year so the four of us caught up over hot drinks and curry puffs. I made one of the ohana's favorite recipes:
This is Lizzy Writes Korean Beef.
Saturday was splendid. Our crew trekked out to Millbrae for my niece's Red Egg & Ginger partay:
1. The Table Set Up
2. Her dress and shoes
Aren't they totally darling?
Stuffed and in a food coma, husband and I became couch potatoes at home to finish up Downton Abbey! We're waiting for Season Three to come out on Netflix or Hulu Plus.
My man for quite some time has been hankering for some fried chicken so I obliged him Sunday:
The night before I had these chicken tenders marinating in seasoned buttermilk. What a tenderizer it is as these were super moist and tender on the inside. I dipped each one in flour, egg, and then Panko.
Then unfortunately early Monday, my tummy started feeling funny. I was laid up in bed all day with a low grade fever, chills, aches, and well you get the picture. It hurt to move. Thank goodness Princess Chocolate Cupcake is old enough to know how to make sammies for her and sister. I read your blogs on the iPad. Later on that evening I finally took some Po Chai Pills and when that finally kicked in, I started to feel better. Thankfully, I didn't have it as bad as some of my other relatives who got well acquainted with the Porcelain King. What was thought to be stomach flu was most likely food poisoning! Lots of ppl got sick.
I'm a bit short on progress this week:
Just one color short as I kind of chillaxed earlier this week and you know the rest.
I will be taking the rest of the week off from blogging. I need to lay low as my stomach's still a bit raw and I have Stitches West to attend Friday. Plus, I think I'm dropping out of the The Next Step Sock KAL. I got lost on where I was in the pattern, frogged lots, and was still stumped, so I just don't have the patience right now to redo anything for that sock.
Until then...I leave you on a sweeter note of what my man came home with last Thursday:
