Happy Valentine's Day from a sunny but 55 degreed San Francisco!
Thank you for the infinity scarf props. Kim is excited! I'm so glad I invested in the mats and lace blocking set. They sure can do wonders.
Sock #1 has progressed very well...
...the heel's turned:
I picked up 17 sts for the gusset. It should be a good knit and not have any little holes showing.
I then got to start on the gusset decrease:
I had to think for a bit on these two parts as the pattern's written for Magic Loop. But I was able to modify for DPNs.

My husband really liked the Navy Wife's recipe. The girls and I found it okay because the flavor wasn't as strong. I think it's awesome how buttermilk is such a great tenderizer though and is something new I've learned and will use before making pork and poultry.
Bottom: A quick version of Rachel Ray's 2008 Real Dogs Eat Quiche = I had forgotten the Half & Half which is why the quiche was so low in the pie crust.

Valentine's Quiches, using the same recipe (used Hofbrau sausages and Mexican mixed cheese instead) & done the right way = One for Princess Chocolate Cupcake's teacher & one for my honey
Are you ^^ salivating?

Woo-hoo for socks! I'm sad it's only 55 by you...it's 67 over here today. That's kind of sad because it's only 10 miles away (as the crow flies)...I suppose having all that extra love from the Bay will do that :)
ReplyDeleteYep, I am pretty hungry right now. Probably should eat some breakfast. ;-) I am pretty full of coffee so far and over seeing a math lesson whilst preparing a science one and sneaking in the reading of a blog post here and there. Muti-tasker, thats me. haha. Now all I want to do is knit. LOL The sock is looking very nice so far. xoxox
